Travellers' Code

Please read this carefully before making your workshop booking – here is the travellers’ code for participation in these journeys. We ask you to commit to this undertaking before stepping onto the trail. Completion of your booking implies your full agreement with this code. Thank you.

  • THE SISTER BLANKET. We have a code of behaviour anchored in the Sister Blanket which may be viewed here. Our charter of woman-kindness sets out the principles of sisterhood, compassion and mutual respect that apply to all our online circles and in-person gatherings. These principles also apply during the period of your participation in terms of wider social network interactions – while you are travelling this journey, please be mindful of causing no harm in words or actions towards your fellow-humans and all beings. Our code of sisterhood also applies to any online or in person meetings that are arranged privately between trail travellers for the purpose of mutually supporting and inspiring their journeys. These principles are the foundation of how we keep this trail safe and respectful.

  • CARING FOR THIS TRAIL. This online workshop programme is created to support, inspire and deepen each woman’s personal journey. These are ancient and wild ways of sharing women’s collective wisdom and intuitive skills wrapped into a digital form. The Weavers’ Trail does not end with a certificate or franchise; completion of any part of this programme does not imply a qualification to teach, disseminate or otherwise use this work to promote unrelated teaching content or workshop experiences. Please never re-publish any workshop content or post details of course materials onto social media. Please do not allow non-participants to enter the trail and look around (except, perhaps, your curious daughter or your inquisitive mum!) Every participant is requested to cherish her place on the journey, protect the integrity of this workshop programme and respect the original source of all materials shared during the course of these journeys. We reserve the right to withdraw access to the programme if these criteria are not met.

  • DISCLAIMER. Carolyn is an artist, writer, musician and individual woman exploring her own path through ancestral memory, sacred landscape and the soul journey. She is not qualified as a therapist, counsellor or other form of mental health professional, and she does not offer this type of support in the context of the Weavers’ Trail. She is not a spiritual leader, or teacher of any specific religious or philosophical system. What she does offer to the women who choose to travel with her in this online programme is guidance, inspiration and support through a wild dreamscape that is designed to deepen courage, expand possibility and inspire each traveller in her own interpretation and exploration of her journey.

  • LONG TIME TRAVELLERS. After observing the flow and momentum of women’s journeys over the three years since the Trail opened, we now have a structure in place for long time travellers, so that we can continue to provide full and active access with monthly online sessions, email support and interactions with all aspects of the Weavers’ Trail for as long as required. We have created a small regular subscription called the Heron’s Wing (with self-selecting and symbolic bursary option, the Heron’s Feather) which helps to give energy and focus to your journey, as well as enabling us to offer extended or indefinite support.  A traveller is invited to enter the Wing or Feather after 9 months on the Daweyo trail or 9 months after entering the Lagyâno trail. When you sign up to all three journeys of the Weaver’s Trail, the Heron’s Wing or Feather will apply after 18 months if you are still travelling with Daweyo or Lagyâno. Details may be found at the bottom of the page unlock a journey. These extra subscription options do not apply once you have entered your Soitlâ Journey. This is an invitation not an obligation, and we would never close a journey for lack of financial resource.

  • RESIDENTIAL WORKSHOPS. Participation in some part of this online workshop programme is a requirement for an application to attend a residential workshop guided by Carolyn on Dartmoor. Please see the Dartmoor Workshops page for details about residential workshops.

  • This online workshop programme is created for women, guided by women and open to women. If you are a member of the transgender community, please be aware that a high proportion of the workshop content is drawn from a vessel of deep womb mystery and ancient blood magic, with many references to the physicality of women’s bodies, menstrual blood, birthing, menopause, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, crones, hags, sisterhood, ancestral mother-lines, the female dynamic in nature and the wild landscape in women’s form. We advise, therefore, that this workshop programme would not be relevant for the transgender community. Please see our Seventh Wave Music website for events and gatherings which are created for everyone to be involved.

We thank you for reading and honouring these undertakings.
